Car wont keep warm. I have changed the thermostat 8 times.?

I have a 2000 chevy cavalier and the heat will not work all the time. When it is cold out and I start it and let it run it will heat up but as soon as i drive around i lose all heat and my temp gauge goes down. I have changed the thermostat myself and had two different mechanics change it multiple times.

That is normal

Cut a piece of card board and place it in front of your radiator to block the freezing air flow, did you notice all the big trucks do that, look at them when you drive.

Then you will be warm and toasty!

The heater core might be bad, or the radaiator might need flushing
Heater core is probably restricted. What does the engine temperature do when it starts blowing cold? If it drops also, then there may be a thermostat issue-make sure yuo are using a name-brand 195F thermostat. Also keep in mind that if you are in Defrost mode, the cooling fans are running all the time...............
if the fan stays on all the time, maybe the fan thermostat is bad and it overcools the engine.
Replace your thermostat with a GM original thermostat. Do a rad flush to clean out any debris. You might also want to add some cooling dye to your system so you can check for leaks. How old is your coolant? Green Coolant has to be changed every 2 years, Red dexcool every 5 years. GM built your car, which means GM has the right part for it. Aftermarket parts are junk, multi usage parts can damage your vehicle.
there is a belede valve in the water sistem open it and the raider cap blow in to the raidor theair will come out when you get water comming out close the valve and ad water tothe tank
