the heat in my car stopped working, then the car started to overheat.
I changed the thermostat The heat still doen't work and the car still overheats and now it the idle revs up and down.

Start car and when temp. reaches operating rang,feel of the top rad Hoses is it Hot?Yes Good
next see if Radiator Fan engages;No then Relay is bad;
If the top radiator hose is cold with eng at operating temp,then No Coolant Moving,Disconnect Top Rad Hose at Rad and start eng; when operating temp is reached coolant should Flow let car cool 1 hr then top off Coolant;That is the Cure for an Air-Lock;
you either need to repair the radiator or water pump...
