it's simple man, you have air in your system. air pocket will provent the system from doing its job right. the best way to fix it is take it to a shop ex. pepboys they will do a coolant flush and bleed the system for $79.99

either your heater core is disconnected from your water line's, your blower's don't work or you have a bad fuse that prevents you from operating it, check for your hoses by the engine bulk head hear the wall of the car which is the one under the windshield, if not then check your fuses at the left side of your car (most times near battery) it will be a big fuse with a clear plastic lens on top. your blower's are under your dash which are most of the times right in the middle see if there working, those are a throw away item and believe me it's about time those would be going out the have interior brushes that once there worn the fan go. hope this helps.
You may have the heater core filled with %26quot;goop%26quot; after all these years. Go to a mechanic and have him back flush the heater core.
