I have a 1998 cadillac concurse and the car was running hot..so the heater core was changed(which was busted)?

also the thermostat was changed as well...the car continues to run hot...the water pump was checked and it is okay...what do you think is the problem..nothing is leaking out of the car...i had the sensors checked...it just sizzles near the motor when the car gets hot...i know i have to put it on the diagnostic machine....but i just want to know your thoughts

If the car continues to run hot and NOT lose antifreeze you could look into any blockage in the coolant system, be it a radiator, or a coolant system flush.

The pump should circulate the fluid if there is nothing in the way, your cooling fans should come on if the car is near stop if it overheats as well.

Also check for a radiator cap if it overheats under load

For your information no diagnostic machine can do a coolant pressure test, thats what you need to have done. You need to spend the 20 bucks it will cost at a shop to have the pressure test done and have a block test done. If you dont see any noticable leaks, you are for in a big repair bill, either intake or head gaskets. Spend the 20 bucks and have it analyzed by a pro.
You don't need no rip off diagnostic machine for heating problem. Take it to a RADIATOR SHOP and get it checked.
90% chance it's your timing belt.........
there are a couple of things that come to mind. Not sure what the heater care had to do with the engine running hot. You do need to check and see if the radiator is flowing good. Check the temp of the top hose versus the bottom one. Check and see if the top of the radiator is the same as the bottom or I think in this case that both sides of the radiator are the same. I am talking about left and right sides not front and back. If none of this helps you need a pressure test done to see how the head gasket is working.
