Why does my car take so long to warm up?

I asked before and someone said to change the thermostat and the temp sensor, I thermostat has been changed but the car has a coolant temp sensor and a regular temp sensor. Which one needs replaced. The car idles at about 2500 to 3000 when started and takes about 10 min to warm up. A lil less sometimes but not very often. Its a 97 Acura integra and its stays around 80 + degrees so it shouldnt take anywhere near this long. If you dont wait the transmission slams gears. (automatic). please help. thank you

I think something's amiss with your *throttle position sensor. No car should idle as high as yours while warming up. Normally a throttle position sensor raises the idle speed to 800 - 900 RPM for less than 5 minutes, Summer or the dead of Winter.

some cars and truck just run cold.the transmission I would get it serviced new filter and new oil, sound like the tranny fluid gets too thick when its cold,if it cant move past your filter and in to the hydraulic system of your transmission then it will shift hard like that. The most common way to fix that is getting it serviced.
NO its a coolant temp Sensor and a thermo switch, the sensor with one wire is a coolant temp sensor the thermo switch has two wires. good luck
Did you test the stat before installation? 195 deg. Is the coolant clean? Dirty coolant keeps the stat from closing completely and it doesn't take much to allow coolant to circulate causing slow heating

Does the engine seem hot after running for 10 min? Can you touch and hold the top rad hose. If you can't then it may be at correct temp and the gauge is defective.

Move the selector to 2 instead of D - this will allow a softer start.
