The car is a 00 elicpse. I have changed the cooling temp sensor, thermostat and it still over heats. o yeah the fans dont turn on either

The fan is important, make sure that works.
Also, check your amount of freon in the car.

well the car is overheating because the fan does not work! Check the fan switch.
Uh, it's the fan....get that working, and your problem is fixed. If not try checking the radiator or try cahning the coolant.

open the hood, on the right hand side shoudl be a whojabober, you will want to unscrew it(counter clockwise mind you) inside will be a thingamajig, remove the thingamajig and replace with a widget, than screw back on the whojabober and wala, you have a workign car
Either the fan switch of the fan is seized up.
Low coolant ---Dirty radiator
I almost bought an eclipse and 2/ mechanics told me they are good cars only to 50,000. miles. hope this is not the case for you.
First,fix the fans..and see what that does.Then and/or at the same time..check the radiator..and make sure you have it full,coolant level is appropriate..and it is not leaking.If it is leaking,get some sealant that you pour into the radiator and then refill it.That should fix it.Otherwise take it to the dealer,or a mechanic.
There can be several reasons for a car to overheat. Someone has already mentioned low coolant. In addition to low coolant the thermostat could be sticking, there could be a hole in one of the radiator hoses or heater hoses or even a hole in the radiator or it needs to be flushed to get rid of sediment that will block coolant flow.
Lots of causes and if you aren't mechanically minded you should have a mechanic look into the problem.
start buy checking the fan is working at the radiator there is a simple check for doing this 1 st with the hood up and motor runing turn on the ac or defrost look to see if the fan is running if it has 2 fans ther are other thing i can help you with budmanss396@yahoo.com
Since you sound some what mechanically inclined try this. After a short drive to warm the car up run your hand over the radiator, Does it feel the same in all spots or are there spots hotter and colder? If so the radiator is plugged. Take care even though the fans do not work as since the are electric they can turn on at anytime. If your ans do not work you will need to fix that problem as well.
The fan might have some problem. Also check for the coolant and oil levels.
fan problem. try running for a few minutes, fan should be running once temp becomes higher than what it should be. if the fan still not working, check the fan by if it is working by running a + wire from the battery to the + wire of the fan. if it run, then it is ok. the culprit might be the temperature sensor switch.
