I have looked all over for diagrams or to change it because the gauge in the car isn't working anymore so I need to replace the thermostat . I just need to know were its located and what do I have to take off to get to it ?

Actually, USUALLY the upper radiator hose attaches to the thermostat housing on the engine.
Didn't the repair manual you bought before starting the job point this out?

i believe it is where the lower radiator hose is attached to the engine block. have to take off t-stat housing, clean off old gasket, replace t-stat and gasket put back together and fill with coolant
